
Construction Product Regulation (CPR) is a regulation issued by the European Union No 305/2011 that replaces Construction Products Directive (89/106/EEC). The purpose is regulate the limits of fire resistance and dangerous substances in the materials used in construction. This Regulation ensure reliable information on construction products in relation to their performances. The new EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR) was adopted in 2011. Following the amendment to the official EU journal C378/6 on 13 November 2015, the date for the mandatory declaration of performance has been changed from 1 December 2016 to 1 July 2017. The use of certified products is therefore optional until 30 June 2017 and compulsory as of 1 July 2017.
